Name:
Corinne [core - in]
Age:
2 years old
Gender:
Female
Appearance:
Corinne is very strongly built with muscular legs, back legs, chest and ribs. She is a very big dog, weighing about 75 lbs and 24 inches. Her paws are webbed, like the usual lab for swimming and fowl hunting in the water. She makes an excellent swimmer. Her fur is very silky and smooth, it's length is very short but stubby, made for cooler conditions. Her ears flop over and only perk up when she's alert, or wants to play. Corinne's fur is completely black, all black, all over. She has brown eyes and a long, hard tail. When it wags it propels so much air it could cause someone to fall over- well, that or you would be knocked over because it is wagging so hard. She has endurance, but can't ran super fast- and when she does she gets stuck on something and can't let go- her jaws lock automatically onto her prey or her victim- and in that case, let's hope your someone she takes a liking to.
Personality:
Corinne is a very sweet, gentle being. She is exactly what you'd expect from a lab, energetic and bouncing off the walls. She isn't exactly out of her puppy stage yet, and has so much energy sometimes she doesn't know what to do with herself. She is a pain in the rear if you can't control her, being stubborn and all. She has a problem with spiders and snakes. She fears them so badly she will run a mile away. Her energy is enough for anyone to handle, she is a handful. Of fur. And ADHD I swear. If she isn't racing across the fields, she's swimming in the lake, or talking non stop to someone. She is very kind and generous, but has no time to chat for long, because she's always off doing something. If she's not running, she's sleeping. And when she's sleepy, she's very air headed and sassy if she doesn't get her way, she gets grumpy and upset.
Her main persona is very kind, loyal til the end, and occasionally sassy to those she sees as lower than her. She would never kill or hurt anything or anyone on purpose, and when she does she apologizes at once.
History:
Corrine was born as a mistake. Her mother belonged to a Yellow Labrador breeder who lived across the street from a lady who owned a black male Labrador Retriever, both purebred. When it came time for the female dog to go in heat, she jumped the fence and ran. Away from the pedigree Golden Labrador male that the breeder had bought, and across to the neighbor's house, running into the Black male. Let's say that when she came back a couple days later the breeder was ....ed. She tried mixing the two Yellow labs but the female flatly refused and attacked him, making the male dog angry so they spilled blood. Corrine's mother had formed a relationship with the Black lab across the street, and they loved each other very much..it was kind of like forbidden love.
But, without her master's support with the puppies Corrine's mother had to birth them all on her own, and one died that night. Taking no pity, the breeder called the local dog pound to come and take them away, Unfortunately, the pound would only allow them to come when they were weaned. Furious, the breeder decided to call a Golden retriever rescue nearby. She didn't want to drop them off, because she knew it would give her breeding place a bad reputation, and her financial bill would be over the roof. This was one grumpy old lady. She finally got in touch with the rescue and they agreed to take them. She dropped them off the next day, eager to get rid of the mother and puppies, including Corrine. They were gorgeous pups, their mum and bad both being purebred that added up to 'halfbreeds' by the volunteers that ran the rescue.
Corinne, her litter and mother were both taken very good care of until the financial situation set in. The bills were too much for them to pay, and they had to let the rescue down. They found homes for almost all of the animals, all of them except Corrine and her mother. On the closing day, two, professionally dressed men walked in and said they wanted to buy whatever animals were left at the place. Eager to get them homes, the staff let them go to the two men for half price. When they arrived at their destination, Corinne and her mom set foot onto the most wicked place an animal could be- a testing storage place. What? It's where they illegally test shampoo and other foaming stuff on animals, sometimes it can kill the animals, or give them diseases. It could deflagrate the skin, or any other sensitive part of the body as well.
Time went by, and thankfully Corinne and her mom were never hurt by the products, and they were only used to test it 2 times before they were discovered and the place was shut down for good. The night it was closed, the police team was going to take them to the local pound, but Corinne and her mother escaped, not scathed. Her mother reunited withe the Black Labrador Retriever across the street, leaving Corinne to fend for herself. And so she has. For the last 6 months of her life, been on her own.
