Kodi stands 12 inches tall, a typical height for a pup of his breed, The Black Norwegian Elkhound. His body is short and compact with a curly tail carried over his back. His puppy face is slightly circular with ears that stand straight up. His eyes are very dark, even considered black. His coat is rich and does not stand out from his body. He is an all-weather hunting dog so his coat is very important. That means it is able to keep out heavy autumn rain usually found in Scandinavia, where his ancestors were bred, and able to endure the cold weather, which the coat does very well.
His ebony coat has a dense, short, thick, course, double coat that is all pitch black. He will grow to get bigger but now he is just a small pup.
Personality:
Kodi is a bundle of compacted energy and spends most of his time playing. He is a puppy so his true personality is hidden and undetermined for now. Right now Kodi just loves to meet new dogs and play play play. He is very kind towards most dogs and pretends to be a big strong hero dog. Kodi acts like her can do anything and that he is twice the size of a Great Dane. So far he seems like a nice flirty little guy who can make jokes and not even know it. Kodi likes to protect the ones he loves.
History:
Kodi was born in Scandinavia and his whole family was shipped to the United States of America as the owners found out the pups would grow up to be useless, which was not true. The ship sailed to the country and dropped off the load, unaware of the dogs that became stowaways. Kodi's mother tried to get all the pups out be the time the ship made it's departure but two of the four pups got stuck in between crates and were shipped back to Scandinavia. A little family found the strays and took them to Saddle Creek by wagon, a long perilous journey but they made it to the town. The family knew about the dust storms but stayed because they had nowhere else to go until their father found a job in the city where they could only take one dog. Leaving Kodiak with his mother they took his sister Alaska and left the others in the town hall. Kodi and his mother made their way to the mountains, following the way their family left but they couldn't catch up to the wagon being pulled by their majestic Clydesdale. Soon, starving Kodi's mother went to look for food but was killed by a Mountain Lion. Leaving Kodi to fend for himself. He is now lost in the mountains, searching for his mother and hoping for a savior.
