Appearance: Denali is 25 inches at the shoulder and she weighs 60 pounds. She has beautiful dark almond eyes with black on her legs and muzzle and tail. She is very athletic, strong, and muscular. Her coat is glossy and heavy, a rich honey color. Her dense double coat lies close to her body and is water repellent. Her eyes tell what she is feeling and have a certain compassionate, strong look to them. She is sturdily built and her legs are muscular. One of her ears is slightly up and the other one flops down. She has a severe wound in her left shoulder which makes her limp.
Personality:Denali can sometimes be unintentionally gruff. She just tells you exactly what she thinks, and so that sometimes gets her in trouble. She doesn't mean to insult anyone and she is generally very friendly. She can be a little selfish as well. Sometimes she gets upset about things like a dog scaring her hunt away and she might blow up at him. But otherwise she is friendly and kind.Very unique. A good leader. She has dreamed of leading alongside someone in a pack, but now that dream has faded away. If that dream came true, though, she would be overjoyed. She is naturally cute and fun to be around. She likes the company of other dogs.
History:Denali was born as the runt of the litter. Tiny, premature. Struggling through life. At first, she had her tail clenched so tightly between her legs that her mother and father thought that she had been born tailess. They immediately went over to her. Her mother nosed her belly and Denali's tail shot straight up. They both sighed with relief and Denali's father came to her and picked her up with his lips, careful not to accidently bite or nip her. Her mother and father were very kind. Both purebred Chinooks, her father had a hint of Kangal blood.
One day, Denali's mother and father took her, just her on an outing celebrating her first birthday. Suddenly they heard howls and snarls. A wolf pack trotted about them baring their teeth, threatening a fight. Before Denali knew what was happening, the wolves enclosed upon her parents. Denali fought with them. But they were outnumbered three to 13. Denali got a large, extremely deep gash on her left shoulder. When the wolves retreated because they heard something, she found her parents dead.
