Winter sighed as she followed the Doberman. Her life got so mixed up in one day and now she was following some ruffian to who knows where. She felt the vibrations of paws ahead slow down. Winter closed her eyes and continued to walk at her same pace. The hot day was fully into night, still hot but cooler than the sun beating down on her thick fur. Speaking of it, Winter opened her deep chocolate brown eyes only to find her once snowy white coat looking like a mash of dusty tan, brown, and clay red except for her back ankle which was scarlet red and swollen like an apple, a very fuzzy apple. She felt the Doberman slow down and match her pace. So he actually cared somewhat. Winter flicked her tail that was dragging in the dust behind. Her paw pads were cracked and ached as she stepped down on the dense earth. She flicked her ears back as a fly buzzed around. Winter narrowed her eyes in disgust and snapped at the pest, irritated. The doberman spoke and she listened casually.
"Well I'm staying in an old house down south, but I don't think you'd care. I have a sister and a brother who are nowhere to be found."
|
she replied in a slightly used whisper, obviously losing hope in finding her litter mates. Her t breath had a tinge of meat, she had eaten most of the steak by the scent. Winter seemed less crabby now that her belly was full and the fact she was trying to hard to be nice. The thought even disgusted her. [/div][/style]

Sorry, not feeling the muse but at least it's decent.

Desoto was glad she had finally broken down for him, he was used to girls doing that kind of thing. She had seemed to be avoiding eye contact, so Desoto just let her go, and decided to go with the flow here and now. "Ahh, so there are more of shepherds here, right princessa?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at the statement she made. Now he was interested, was there more pretty white girls like her? Or were they all males with attitude? Maybe he could use them.. that would be pretty swell, he could get her whole litter into their pack, and Barbie would be pleased, along with Roscoe. That would be rad.
Skipping up to catch up with the white figure, Desoto yawned, his white fangs shimmering in the last peek of sunlight that was suddenly hidden by the dark sky and sunset colors, Desoto had to admit, winter in Saddle Creek was very amusing and fun to look at. From here on, he promised not to move until summer hit. That's when it was the hottest. "So, you have been abandoned by your parents? Or wandered off, like the three musketeers?" he chuckled, not really caring if there were three of them or not. It made sense, didn't it?

Winter felt a strange feeling, like she had just done something the male wanted her or expected her to do like others. She let out a small huff and walked on with him. She had no clue if he was leading her to a trap but she enjoyed the company right now, even if he was an annoying fellow. "You would be happy if I told you the answer was yes, right? Well today is your lucky day Pipsqueak."
|
Winter replied casually, as if this conversation was just imaginary. Why was she telling him everything? He could lead a raid over and attack. Well, it's not like he could ever win. Winter made corresponding facial expressions to her thoughts. It was weird how she trusted him more than any other dog except her littermates. Winter didn't even know his name but she was 60% sure it was either Spike or Rex. SHe had to play harder to get to. " What, you already tired?." Winter said in a slight amused tone. The dark sky mixed with the swirling rich sunset colors had the sky looking like a sea of colors. It was absolutely beautiful and Winter was tempted to stop and take a long look. Saddle Creek was amazing, Winter would've loved to stay. The sharp bark of the Doberman brought Winter out of her clouded thoughts. " You got the number straight but then again, three is the first number to come to mind for the simple brains like yours." She crowed, amused. [/div][/style]

Desoto smirked, already knowing there was more, so he didn't know why she thought she was so amazing, her telling him this ""wonderful"" news. Actually, Desoto hadn't really told her much.. he hadn't even told her his name. Actually, I don't even think Desoto knew her name. Eh, what did it matter? He wasn't a formal gentlemen, and even if he wanted to be it was awkward introducing names and such. Except, of course to Valkyrie. She had swag she was pretty cool in Desoto's mind, nifty and useful. Good thing she joined his pack. Whether or not Winter and her siblings joined, Desoto didn't care as long as he had someone to talk to that was attractive in his mind. Shrugging, Desoto decided to let it loose for a while. "Hold your horses, snowball, but I'm the one who is taller than you."
|
He corrected her instantly, in his matter-of-factly tone. Pipsqueak? Really? Was that the best she could do for him? Shrugging, Desoto accidentally brushed beside her, his shrug getting him off balance with his fancy footwork he was doing. Pinning his ears back, Desoto grinned at what he saw up ahead- a dark sunset, and some figures in the way. Desoto thought they looked like shepherds, but as the came closer the two were older males, both nasty pitbulls with sneers on their face. Desoto instantly slowed his pace, the challenging look on the pitbull's face telling him all he needed to know. The fur on his back instantly raised to it's highest amount, bristled and haunches raised to the fullest. He had not yet to show his teeth, he didn't want to fight just yet. The first one, was black with white tips on his paws and the youngest of the two. He moved towards the female was was beside Desoto, his sneer turning into a nasty grin. Desoto didnt like it. Not one bit. A protective growl erupted from his throat, threatening the male before him. "Yeah, hotshot imma mess with your gurl. You gotta problem with that, kid?" the younger one spat at Desoto before moving so close to Winter Desoto swore he saw their noses touch. Desoto was taller than the pitbull, but not more muscular. They really had a battle for them today. Snarling, Desoto's temper was rising into the mid thousands. He reached over at the young male and snapped at his maw, spit flying into his eyes. Shaking his head, the younger dog growled but showed no sign of attack. Then, the older sable colored dog moved forwards, a smirk played on his face. Desoto could have piled he was so sick. "Hey, baby cakes why don't you come play wiff us, eh? Instead on being his girl, come have some real fun." he retorted, his eyes set dead on Winter. Desoto just watched this one, he wanted to see how she would put it out. Winter spotted the Doberman's facial expression change to one of a smirk. She knew what was coming next, this guy could get so predictable and it was like she already knew him. He was a complete stranger though, and an irritating one at that. Winter could feel his large ego. Winter also had the strange sensation that he was just planning to use her and her siblings. She noticed him having that tone and digging into some details that she'd rather keep hidden "Really? I don't know."
|
She answered in a are-you-so-sure-about-that? voice, trying to get under his skin. "But seriously, Snowball? Is that the best you've got? I guess I can take that as a compl-" Her instant statement was cut off as the male brushed up against her, almost tripping from his fancy little footwork. "Well, nice job Twinkle Toes. You've mastered the art of dance." Winter laughed sarcastically. This dog thought he was all that, didn't he? He thinks he has swag. Winter's thoughts and amusement vanished as she saw the Doberman grin and the sunset ahead showed a couple of shadows. The shapes grew closer, their form becoming clear and whoop-de-doo! It was some pit bulls. Winter followed the Doberman's lead and slowed down, her back fur rising like a mane of a lion. Her fur bristled and her haunches raised. Winter's silky white fur read aggression all over but these pits wouldn't take her seriously. The younger pit bull walked up to her and her lip raised, ready to give out a growl. But, instead she heard the Doberman give one. The horrible sound of his voice rang out and gave the words she never wanted to hear. "His girl? HIS GIRL?!" Her ferocious voice shifted with the wind and echoed in the night, hitting the pit bull as sharp as a fang. She felt the pit bull reach nearer, almost touching her nose. Winter let out a soft growl that grew deeper until she saw the Doberman attack the young pit. Thank you! Winter pleaded in her mind, grateful of what he did. Then the older walked up and she listened to what he had to say. Not only did it disgust her but Winter also noticed the poor use of grammar and the awful accent he had. Winter walked forwards, hackles raised and fur bristling. She towered over the smaller dog and leaned in. Her chocolate eyes glinted in the new silver moonlight, almost looking evil. "Don't you ever call me 'his girl' again. First of all I'm not and second I'd rather be 'his' than 'yours'! I don't know what is going on inside your head right now but get this straight. I'm not anyone's girl and especially not yours. By the way, if you really want to get a girl, try asking someone in your own league, work on your grammar, and-" she paused, taking a breathe and scenting the pit bull's, "Get a breath mint!" She finished, still overworked and about to vomit from his rotting garbage breath. The strong urge to grin was creeping out the corner's of Desoto's mouth, the attack mode had slowed down since then, but it was just to funny to see the other white girl go off on them, getting them in hot water for calling her "his girl", and by all means please do. He didn't want to own anybody, much less did she want to be owned as well. He could tell by just being with her for a few moments that she was an independent little dog with attitude, her stride was confident and her voice was not afraid nor convincing. to him, at least. He had no doubt whatsoever that she would attack either one of the pit bulls, and that they would regret even laying eyes on the pretty little snowball. "Ahh.. a lady with attitude. Nice, nice one, hotshot. Oh, your not 'es girl then, are you? You belong to your mummy then, right snow white?"
|
the younger black one sneered, his irritation in the female's attitude was rising by the minute. Desoto rolled his eyes at the dog's comment, completely untouched by the way he pronounced the 'hotshot' part. If that's what he thought he was, then.. ohh... "Hey, gay wad, just because you can't find anyone else that thinks like you doesn't mean you have to put your anger out on the female 'ere." He shot at him, raising his red eyebrow, the black mixing into his eye and creating a gorgeous look on Desoto's face. The black young male just stuttered, his face reddening with embarrassment. Finally, he found some courage to spit back at Desoto; "I am not homo, man! I have no problems! You have the problems!" his voice was shaky, but Desoto only growled in response. Yeah, right. At Winter's comment to the older dog, Desoto couldn't help but mildly chuckle, she was good at come backs, he had to admit. The older dog looked nasty when she had finished, he backed up and frowned up at them. "Alright chica.. since, apparently you have no taste in brutes, we will just have to show you, taste." he spat, his spit flying everywhere once he pronounced the last 'taste' part of his sentence. Apparently, he had no need for grammar. Or leagues. Desoto shrugged, not able to help her on this one. Desoto stepped back beside Winter, and made sure she was protected from the black one who was now circling them in an unnecessary manor. [/div][/style]

Winter was so furious at the typical stereotypes. Usually the stereotype of something is rude and untrue but with these Pit bulls, it was an exact match. Her snowy fur bristled and she wondered if all this anger had started to make her fur glow red and send steam out her ears which were pinned back as she growled. Winter did not belong to anyone. She was not an item to claim like a prize. The regular prissy females wouldn't mind being kept as a 'trophy', not Winter though. She knew they could take these pathetic wannabes. Sure, they had muscle but she had size and agility on her size and the temper she threw out probably just confirmed a fight coming. The pit spoke again, this time he went to far. "You know what, Prettyboy? I don't belong to my mother and when I'm done with you, you'll run home to your mom and cry because a girl beat you up!"
|
She growled and narrowed her eyes. Like daggers they should seep into his soul and make him wish he was with his mommy. She could tel he was irritated, and using that to her advantage, she would drive him crazy. The Doberman had stepped in. Winter again was snapped out of her revengeful thoughts to hear the hilarious comment that he added in. The Pit bull was stunned! Winter gave a thankful look to the Doberman who had a gorgeous face by the way. That expression made him seem... well Winter couldn't find the right word to describe it but, perfect. The Pit bull summoned up the courage for a comeback, it was horrible. Is that all they've got? Winter gave a smile and raised one eyebrow, giving the are-you-serious? look. Winter turned to meet the other dog as he barked a reply. Great, this couldn't get any worse. Something wet hit her nose. If this was the cliche act of when it starts raining after she thought this couldn't get any worse that would just be, well, cliche! But the disgusting look hit her face as Winter realized the wet slop was the Pit bull's spit. "Gross, no wonder you can't score any girls. If it's a fight you want, bring it." Winter growled, her body forming into and attack pose and Winter's lean muscles rippling under her pelt. With one eye she kept watch on the older Pit and out of the corner of the other she could sort of see the other who was starting to circle them. This would be fun. Desoto watched the two creeping figures through his narrowed eyes, he back up, making sure they each had a pit bull. This scene seemed awfully familiar...aha! Now he knew how it was... they had done this to a corgi and alonzo a few days ago, him and Roscoe. That was good fun, the ugly little git was trying to flirt with them but Desoto didn't fall for it. Not one bit. They the big teddy bear dog came in to "save the day" but the little devil made him leave with her. Desoto bet it was out of fear, that's probably what it was. He was shaking at that, Desoto could remember the hurt in his eyes... Yes, that was a win. Standing taller than is Doberman form, his muscular body rippled underneath his black and red skin, the excitement building up in the tension that was going around the circle.
The younger one looked hurt so badly that he wanted to attack, but kept glancing at the older pit, as if to get s signal for the attack. General, was he? Ha, Desoto was sure he could find a wise crack about that one... ah yes, a similar one he used on Alonzo. "Hey yuo, old general dude-"
|
Desoto waited a few seconds as the older one passed him, then proceeded to do what he had planned to do: Desoto spat gunk out from his mouth onto the pit bull's paw, causing him to yelp in surprise. Desoto chuckled, his eye brow raising to question the dog. "Afraid of what's coming at you, then you git? Your nothing but a little scardy cat." he hissed, his black fur beating slowly against the dark moon light that held the only visible trace of the white female. She seemed to glow at night, the moon reflected off of her silky fur. Desoto's short fur wasn't exactly helping him today at all, the sun disappeared and now it was getting below the 20's, which lucky for Winter she was made for the cold weather. Not Desoto. He was made to guard in the summer time and spring time, when the taxes where due. Good gracious it was a chilly night, much to cold for Desoto's taste. "Scar, pip pip let's get going. these dogs aren't worth our time." the younger once sneered furiously to the older one, and just like that they vanished into the night air. The small figures working their way around them seemed like they wanted to look scary but Winter just gave a grunt of annoyance. Did they want to be suspenseful like those stupid old stories that her humans grandma use to tell while they were with them? The tension rose and Winter soon let out a yawn of disapproval towards the pit bulls, her shifty midnight browneyes darting to each one. She felt the Doberman back up, obviously making sure they each had a pit bull to fight. That's good, he knows she can take care of herself or he just wants her to die. Either one seemed likely. She let her body move into a attack form posture, her strong muscles showing barely beneath her fluffy fur. For some reason her fur got really fluffy in the Winter, that might be how she got her name. The humans that kept her for a while called her, "Fluffykinz." Not knowing what that meant, Winter accepted the name until she departed ways with them. She spotted that younger Pit bulls, his eyes flashing with tension and hurt. What was he waiting for? That coward. But Winter saw that he kept glancing to his partner, waiting for a signal. Ha, waiting like a dog to get his master's word of approval. The Doberman beside her made a very weird, in her opinion, joke. General dude, really. Winter sighed in disappointment. "Just call him the little dog's master. Like a human giving orders and ruining the pup's life."
|
She whispered over in the Doberman's cropped ear, her sweet smelling breathe drifting softly by. She turned her head and listened to his other words. Better in her opinion. The moonlight beamed down slowly, dancing off her white fur and tinting it with tiny traces of silver lining. The chilly night breeze floated by, carrying the scent of rain. In this weather, rain was to become snow. Good god, how will this short furred critter survive? Winter thought desperately. She watched the Pit bulls almost seem to vanish in the night air. Hmm.. well that was almost to easy to consider how they acted earlier. Winter shrugged and felt a delicate snowflake fall on her nose, melt, and was followed by others. My muse has been arguing with me all morning. Sorry, for the crappy post.[/div][/style]

Desoto smirked while he watched the two pitbull's run off into the distance, defeated. When they arrived, they were already defeated, they just didn't know it, because they were pure idiots. When most dogs approached Desoto looking for a fight, they immediately backed down because they were in one of the Twin's presence. Desoto held a grim, sly look on his colored black and tan head. He had won. Again. And, he wasn't really surprised either. Winter and Desoto were reining champions! Desoto shook off the light rain that started to fall of his sleek black pelt. His ears flickered back to the fluffy white fur ball behind him.
His rump was in her side, so he thought he'd better remove that. Desoto turned back to Winter and raised an eyebrow at her comment. "Uh.. What? You have to admit, my come back was better."

Winter watched the doberman turn towards her, giving her the handsome raised eyebrow face. She looked at him straight in the eye with her own in a sarcastic way. "Really Captain Comeback? A general giving orders? Let all fear the mighty Insult King!"
|
Winter mocked in a friendly way, pretending to bow in his utmost important presence. In the midst of it she let out an annoyed growl and shook out her fluffy pelt. The quickly falling raindrops accumulated on her thick pelt, making her feel like her fur was dragging her down. The splattering water drops flew everywhere and after her good shake, Winter looked like a giant puffball, and also feeling like one. Winter stopped, waiting for the most hilarious comment ever from the Doberman pinscher, just kidding. But still, the eerie silence down by that saloon was like a huge gap in Winter's reality. The time seemed to be a little past midnight and irritation pricked down at Winter's core. Why was she spending so much time with this canine? A question formed in her mouth and wondering whether to spit it out, she did. "Hey Twinkle Toes, might I get the pleasure of knowing your real name?" [/div][/style]

Desoto yawned, half wanting to spit it out for real, and half wanting to just laugh. Desoto was just plain bored. "Look, princessa, I don't need your speech now, I've only had one chance to really make some kind of comment. " he as just going to blab and blab on and on, one because he had nothing better to do. Actually, he could go and play around with Roscoe and Barbwire, but this was soooo much more time. Yeah, right. If she knew anything, she was lucky he was wasting his precious time on her. [color=white"Your lucky, princessa."
|
he retorted, raising his eyebrows skeptically. Desoto wondered whether or not she was really worried about her siblings. Hmmm. Desoto wondered. "Oh, and by the way, the name's Desoto." he answered, turning and planning on walking away to give her the mysterious touch. Desoto knew most girls liked mysterious kinds of stuff, and he knew that Winter might just fall if he did this. Desoto got the idea she wouldn't fall easily, but he'd tried too. Winter sighed and waited with a bored expression. Her ivory eyelids drooped just a tad bit and Winter's fluffy tail was almost tucked between her legs. This doberman seemed fun at first but now he was just a plain boring impostor. She fought back a horrific yawn and her eyes blinked rapidly as she tried to hold it back without opening her large jaws. The humming sound of that doberman's voice sounded out through the air but Winter couldn't listen distinctly enough or give much attention to hear what words he spoke. It all sounded like a blabbing bunch of jumbled up noises. The late night out had finally payed off and now Winter had new found energy that made her act a little off from her true personality. "Whatever, I guess I'll be going. I need to find a dog who knows how to have real fun."
|
She replied after he spoke his second sentence with a sparkle hidden in her chocolate eyes that twinkled with curiosity. If he thought that she didn't deserve his time and that Winter was just so lucky that he took an hour of his life for her, he was wrong. Whatever was going through his brutal mind was just crazy. By now Winter had summoned enough attention for him to hear what the canine was about to say. "It was nice to meet you Desoto." Winter added, savoring the name like a flavor on her tongue. She saw him turn and a thought made her cock her head to the right in a cute way. Was this doberman going to take her other comment seriously? Maybe he wasn't up to the challenge or maybe he wanted to seem mysterious. Most other females would fall for it and Winter could understand why. There were no words to describe it but attractive and sometimes idiotic. It all depended on the male. Winter rolled her velvety brown eyes as Desoto planned what next and she began to wag her fluffy tail back and forth in short slow swings. [/div][/style]

Desoto raised an eyebrow at her, his black coat getting soft and wet from the light rain drops that were slowly forming into snowflakes. His smile broadened, he loved this kind of weather, but would much rather prefer Spring. He didn't have the build of a coat that she had, and it wasn't much to keep him warm over the icy conditions. His ears flickered back towards the path that the Pitbull's had taken, his heart pounding out of his ears. the chilly wind was enough to freeze his butt off, but Desoto's sleek fur would do the trick for now. His black coat coloring kept him warmer than dogs with white or gray fur, and for that he was glad. "Aha, fun? Well, have a jolly good time finding someone princessa, because, this old town is deserted for the most part. Oh- of course, unless, you would like to go hang out with those two brutes we just encountered, have fun. And trust me, I won't be at your wedding next month."

he smirked, his tongue sliding off the tip of his mouth and maw, his nasty smile telling Winter all she needed to know. He couldn't give anything for her, not now and probably not until they met again would Desoto ever think about it. Desoto sat down where he currently was, in the middle of the path that he assumed used to be a road for horses and carriages. He didn't care who came along his way, only that they would get a fun encounter with Desoto, maybe, if he felt like much. If Winter truly did leave him, it would her loss. Desoto would merely go back to Roscoe and Barbwire, explain what had happened and come up with an excuse for not finding anything tghat they could use. It's how Desoto worked. OOC: I dunno when you want to end this, its completely up to you m'dear. :3 [/div][/style]
