R O G E R
Age: 1 year
Gender: male
Appearance: Roger is on the smaller side, especially for a male. This could perhaps be because he is only a year old and maybe he hasn't grown completely into his skin yet, and the mutt definitely clings to this hope, but he could just be small. He is quite fit, as he is in the prime of his youth, and he has a layer of lean muscles rippling through his pelt. His bodily proportions are rather average, normal legs, normal body, the works. As far as breeds go, he probably is closest to resembling a Golden Retriever, though his complete pedigree is unknown.
Personality: A calm, agreeable dog. He likes to makes friends with other dogs, though he doesn't absolutely need contact with others. He would probably do well inside of a pack, if one presented itself. When he does make friends, he is quite loyal to them, and hopes they'll be in each other's lives forever. Usually this doesn't actually happen for him, but he still holds onto the hope. He is not much of a leader, and is quite content with everyone going about their own business. This being said he isn't very possessive... in his mind everything is meant to be shared and where he sleeps one night is just as much for anyone else the next night. This does not, however, apply to food. Roger is good about getting the amount he needs and then leaving whatever he doesn't.
History: Roger was born to a couple of farm dogs, brought together by their child owners. In the deal the owner of the mom would get to sell the puppies, but the owner of the father would get the pick of the litter--standard form. The best was picked and then the rest were left to be sold. Being the smallest of the litter, no boy wanted the shame of owning such a pup as Roger. So for four months he went unpurchased. Luckily, the boy's father made a deal with one of his friends, and it was decided an old farmer would take the dog for free, as a companion rather than to help with the farm. But then the dust storms started and the old man fled with his children... they didn't think to bring along Roger when packing up the truck. So he remained there, alone, for a few months before finally he decided he was no longer attached to the establishment or the man, and now he roams freely, and still alone.
