confused - still a little shocked from past events, the girl has a super tough time sinking important facts into her mind, basically she tends to be a little slow when thinking making it hard for her actions to be straight and nimble.
loyal - shasta still spends her days waiting for adler to return to their family, trying to get in as many visits with her children as well, keeping time with their happy lives, keeping them protected from the harms of the world
depressed - heart broken, mind lost, there is no life for her without beloved adler, all she can stand to do is at least attempt to keep her attitude positive for the children's sake
kind- never turning her nose to someone who needs help, mentally or physically, never snapping or failing to be friendly around others
sensitive- keeping her senses on edge, waiting for a scent, a sound, a sight of her mate coming back, panicking whenever larger, more powerful dogs, more than one surround her like they had before
nervous- jittering around gangs of massive canines, unseen figures, death is her greatest fear as she feels she can never be too cautious when around someone suspiscious

before heaven found me
being born and raised by a drug addict who only wanted a scary looking mutt to guard over his stash, was not, by any means, easy. the teenager, who went by the name of josh, was merciless, hardly feeding her, giving her only dirty water, cheap kibble, no bed, no collar, but an occasional beating. every time his hand would rise back, shasta would cower. how could a dog attack her master for his wrong-doing? there was no way. human-canine bonds were too strong, therefore there was no struggle. all the mutt could do was sit back, and yelp out. that was how she lived her puppy years, going through little training, apparently just expected to be viscious if any stranger approached the hidden treasure. however, as she aged, her strings began to tighten with every hit or kick. finally, something snapped. another kick against a dry wall, and there was bloodshed. brutal was she, grabbing his arm and not letting go until his metal toed boot was buried into her gut, sending her flying through the room, right out the glass window. sure, it hurt, but it was her sure out ticket to freedom.
I let your love surround me
wandering around, quickly molding her life style into that of a street dog, feeding on dumpster scraps, living in boxes, under houses, being free. the feeling was truly amazing, the life was carefree therefore when normally the sight of a larger canine would alert her, she became highly attracted to the fighting dog, keeping her amber gaze locked, daring him to come closer and catch another glimpse up close. instantly the handsome male approached, surprisingly calm considering his unbelievable background, they talked for the longest time until his master's came chasing the beautiful stray into the bushes only for adler, in which she now knew the other as, to be dragged by his heavy steel chains into the warehouse for a full night of fighting. after that, shasta knew she had to return to visit adler for she had convinced herself that she loved the brute. after multiple days of talking for hours without end, the girl had finally gotten her new lover to realize how terrible his life in the ring actually was, with that, shasta helped him escape, and they ran off together.
kiss your heart bye-bye
after they settled in together, making an abandoned alley their home, they accidentally decided to have a family when the pair of strays conceived three children, two male, one female, all beautiful, all loved by both of their parents, the tiniest of the three being the little girl, who was also sadly cursed with blindness. they were both finally happy with the quality of their lives. but it all came crashing into . million little pieces when their territory was raided by a gang of feral strays, aiming their lurching jaws at the children, bringing adler`s fighting instinct back to life. lunging at the others taking them on full fledged, only allowing an occasional straggler by,only to face the wrath of a protective mother with sharp ivory fangs ready to sink into their flesh if they got too close. it was nearly over, most of them had taken off in a lurching Sprint once they viewed what they were up for, everyone else was dead or out cold, except for one, a very large aggressive male German shepherd, who easily took a brutal blow into the thick skull of her lover, knocking him to the ground, only to be guarded over and kept warm by his loving family until he woke up, confused, hurting, hungry. he thought his name was adar, he didn't know who they were, so he left them behind without even giving them a chance to explain who he was.
so I can live my life
nothing. there would be no real heart, beating in her chest until he came back to fulfill their lives together. life was no longer an option. all she could do would be try to move on, try to forget. however, there was always that desperately annoying pang in the back of her skull telling her she didn't even want to forget. therefore she continued to search for her beloved, keeping her head held as high as possible in order to make the lives of their offspring as normal as possible after their dad had merely turned on his heels, and walked away, never to be seen by them again. sure, they would think of their father differently, as the images of him leaving, their mama sobbing for days on end, confused, desperate for answers, those pictures never leaving their delicate little minds. maybe they would even hate him, unlike other children who admired their fathers like heroes. right after the attack, the mother and her three children just sat there, huddling, watching their daddy go away, they stayed there for days, waiting for him to come back. no food. no water. no mercy until it sank in. she had to keep moving, she had to supply her broken family with what they needed in order for them to live on.
happily never after...
a p p e a r a n c e
shasta is an incredibly large dog with a very muscular build to carry her through her long journey to find adler. tail, long(unlike that of a rottie) and slightly plumed at the end, from the beauceron as well as the labrador flowing in her blood, also from the lab comes her floppy ears, always perked up, listening intently. from the beauceron and the rottweiler comes her 'markings' the tan eyebrows and areas on the chin, chest, legs, and underbelly. long limbs to follow through, extending to full length when walking and running.
