Personality~
anxiety / avoidant disorder
this disorder causes rosie to be extremely hypersensative to criticism and rejection, therefore causing her to highly overreact after even the slightest slip of words. generally avoids physical interaction due to painful past experiences, which basically means she doesnt want to be touched and panics when anyone other than her siblings inflicts even the tiniest motion upon her. severe low self-esteem. fantasizes--daydreams, as a form of an extinguisher for all previous pain and sorrow, as a place to escape. emotional distancy, meaning she tends to not get attached, never shows pain, love, or any other emotion.
reserved
restrains her emotions for large periods of time, doesn't need sociality to live, hides her true personality, shy, mental speaker, smart--nobody knows considering she wont say, highly interested in personal security and peace, quiet, soft spoken, emotionally awkward, lets out her emotions them out in her frequent mental breakdowns. is absolutely terrified by conflict, hence she refuses to impact upon acts which may spark conflict whether or not it actually physically involves her.
post-traumatic stress disorder
This rare disorder is a type of anxiety disorder which can occur after one shall witness or experienced a traumatic event involving a death or injury threat. As a result of her ptsd rosie endures powerful flashbacks, making her think she is reliving her past again and again, nightmares as well with these images, usually resulting in a victim simply refusing to sleep for multiple nights at a time to avoid such experiences. Also, many things remind victims of their painful history's, which rosie acts strongly towards, often times bursting into tears, screaming, fainting if the situation is fierce. Emotional numbness, meaning she feels no pain in minor issues unlike others. Uninterested in normal activities. Avoids places, people, and items that may remind her of her past. Feels as if she is a nuisance to the world, and has no future. If aroused by any reminder, she has a difficulty concentrating, startled easily, hypervigilance which is the heightening of the senses or being more aware of her surroundings, and also guilt for problems that aren't hers.
dependent
rosie doesn't like to be alone, at all. when her sibling, or what remained of them, escaped, they were close, although rosie and rocket had a stronger connection with each other than what they had with shroom. maybe it was his gender that threw them off, but rosie was attached to her sisters hip. never did she want her to leave, and when rocket would get a drink or a meal, rosie would go to. rosie felt safe with rockey, also she felt as if she had to protect her only living sister. however, when she left, rosie went into a panic attack and spent days searching for her, yet she refused to go back to her brother.
History~
Was it a possibility that their parents hated them? Or did they just enjoy torturing them with their morgue of angry words? It was so loud. The fighting. The sentences were slurred by the young, inexperienced brains, yet the mood was easily defined by the intensity, as well as the incredibly high volume, so extreme that the tiny bodies shook with the vibrations each tiny word caused. The weather was not helping the situation at all, in fact, it was only worsening the problems. Heat was practically steaming the family, rain was pounding on the roof of the abandoned cabin, threatening to force it's way to them. That wasn't her only worry, though. Both of their parents left them, not to fend for themselves thank god, but really, by themselves would probably be better than living with who they did. Their uncle Billy who would eventually do something unimaginably horrid to the small, defenseless pups. Usually, being loved would feel good, however the amount of love was a bit too high for their liking, actually way too high and it was really beginning to make them feel weird inside, like something terrible was going to happen. Well, they were right. Sometimes, though, it was the complete opposite of love. Abuse. Biting. Scratching. All of this just so "his" ducks would stay in order, and be obedient to him and only him; yet he never killed them, even though it might have given them a better life if he did. For he only kept them breathing for his own pleasures; which didn't take long to discover. At all. It's known that accidents happened, but Rosie's always known that what happened, was never an accident in the first place, it was planned to perfection, not that it took much skill to do what Billy did. Uncle Billy, who claimed to be the good guy in their world, murdered Jesse and Forkums, walking away like he never did anything wrong, and the worst part...? All their siblings got to watch. It was all because the two boys wanted to be good to their sisters, like normal, civilized canines. They didn't want to sexually abuse their own sisters like Billy wanted them to, now that just wasn't right, even newborns knew it. So, Billy took matters into his own hands it did all the dirty work himself. Everything he did to the poor pups hurt, it hurt like hell, but there was absolutely nothing they could do about it. Nothing. Every time he touched one of them, they winced, fearing the worst for their safety. They were lucky to be alive. It wasn't like he was just going to do it once and forget about it. Oh hell no. It happened again...and again...and again. What they needed was a hero, someone brave enough to stand up for them, someone like Lance. Their brother was sick and tired of being treated like putty in their uncles dirty little paws, but he couldn't do much, only get himself killed. Yet he did hold him back long enough for the remaining three to run off like bullets into the winter weather, too fast for their elder to catch up with, so he gave up. After that, it was awkward for them all, they never communicated. Actually, Rocket got sick of the silence, and took off, leaving two. Soon after that, Rosie took off looking for her beloved sister, and decided not to return. Shroom was a male, which made her very uncomfortable. So then there was one.
Appearance~
Rosie was the smallest of the litter, and she stayed small too, weighing only 18 pounds and only being 15 inches tall from the tip of her ears to her toes. Most of her body is a dark golden color like the markings from her mother, yet with black ticks on her muzzle which is longer like that of her father. Ro's ears are loose and flop over the side of her lean face perfectly. Even though she is the smallest, it doesn't help her weight that she hardly ever eats.
