And Then Dig A Little Deeper
?Stella is a pretty little thing. Well, not so much pretty right now, she’s a bit too adorable to be pretty, but she’ll grow into the classic Lab looks as she ages. She’s a little ball of fat and fluff currently, but definitely adorable. Her body is easily on the chunky side, with the layers of puppy fat protecting her from the cold still intact, and her legs, still on the stumpy side, don’t do much to help her case. She’s covered in a thick layer of chocolate fur, dark chocolate for the time being. It’s a little shaggier then her Lab heritage, but as she grows, it’s probably going to thin out be a wee bit thicker than an average Lab’s coat. White marks her coat;; a little smudge on her chin, a large strip across her chest, a patch between her front legs, just above her stomach, two of her toes on her left hind paw, and one of her toes on her front right paw. Her ears flop down like a lab’s, her nose is black, her eyes are a rich, dark brown.

?odd? Our little Stella-Bella is quite a strange little thing. She’s the one child who will clean their room just to trash it again, the child that eats her popcorn drenched in syrup, the child that would rather go to a library rather than go to the movies. She prefers the oddball things, like rolling around in garlic because it makes bugs go away. She's strange indeed.
?out of it? Stella is a flighty little bird. She tends to space out and get caught up in her thoughts, making her often times miss important things, like the kid who reads in class while the teacher is giving instructions and then when the class starts working doesn't know what's going on. She doesn't know what's going on in the world around her most of the time, partly because she doesn't listen and partly because she doesn't really care.
?quiet? Stella is quiet. As in, she doesn't talk very much, at least, to others. Inside her head, she doesn't quite talking. Inside her head she has anywhere from two to seven alter-egos talking. She often discusses massive life choices with these alter-egos in her head.
?lovable? If you've ever met Stella, you'll know that it's hard not to go 'aww' around her. She's got that awkward puppy adorableness that makes people just fall in love with her. She's so random and silly when she talks that it's hard to hate her...so most people tend to try not to hate her and just tend to love her.
?funny? Stella is really quite hysterical, if you can get her out of her head, that is. She’s got enough wit to make a prison guard cry and enough charm to make her words sweet. She’s got a wicked sense of humor that contains terrible practical jokes, mean knock knock jokes. Somehow, she manages to not make people cry and run away from her. Possibly from her sweet face or her kindness, no one knows.
?awkward? Stell is extremely awkward. If you took the most awkward situation and multiplied it by six billion you’d have Stella. Stella manages to get herself into the most awkward positions imaginable…All the time.
?silly? Stella is…silly I suppose. She says things that don’t actually make sense, except, they do to her. She tends to get laughed at a lot, which isn’t exactly a bad thing. She likes making others laugh, just not at her. She can be purposely silly but most of the time, it’s just the way she acts which make people laugh.
?easily confused? Stella…Oh the poor thing. She tends to get herself into conversations, which is bad on its own, and most of the time, the person who’s conversing with her can run laps around her, metaphorically of course. She can get herself so turned around it isn’t even funny.
?fearful? Stella isn’t brave. That’s why she’s so fond of Wyatt. Wyatt’s so sweet and devoted and loving that she knows he’ll take care of her. She’s the kind of pup that will run under your stomach and hide from thunder or a big, mean dog, or..well anything really.
?outcast? Stella isn’t really accepted. She’s too strange, too out of the town’s mold. Everyone expects her to be shapeable, to be changeable, to be able to be made into the perfect little dog. But she’s not. Which makes people not exactly like her.
?dreamer? Oh yeah, Stella has dreams. She wants to spread her little wings and fly and do whatever it is she wants. She’s the kind of girl who has big dreams and big shoes and little paws. She’s not the kind of girl you’d think would be ready to jump into battle as a police dog, but she does. She’s not the kind of dog one would think wanted to be an artist, but she does. She’s got a lot of dreams and all she wants is to be able to make them come true.
And Let’s Read This Scary Story
?Stella’s history isn’t…pretty, to say the least. It’s terrible really. Her story started out nice. Her mother was a lab in a nice home. Her father was adopted by the same family. They bred, the family didn’t care, the puppies were born. Her parents loved them, the family adored them. It was her and her two sisters and her two brothers. Five puppies in all. They were adopted with ease, all rolly polly puppies of fluffiness and big brown eyes. She was loved by the woman who adopted her, though she turned out to be a foster, until she was sent away, with a somewhat teary goodbye on the woman’s part. She was taken to a nasty, dirty, stinky place where she lived with tons of other puppies in small cages. She was transported a lot until she and the other puppies in her cage fell out of the back of the car. The cage broke when they fell and the lot of them tumbled out and into the world. In all there were ten of them, except one of the puppies died when the cage fell out of the truck and one died from sickness and another from starvation. There was a mother dog and her daughter, Daisy Lou and Alaska, the mother having jumped out of the truck on her own, since the humans trusted her enough not to go off and do such a thing. Daisy Lou did the best she could to take care of them all, but when the two puppies died from sickness and starvation, she took off, somewhat sadly. The puppies dispersed, promising that they’d help each other if they needed it, if they ever met each other again. Stella wandered into town, where she met Wyatt and he became her guardian.
