Drowning deep in my sea of lonely, broken your servant I am. It seems what's left of my human side is slowly changing in me.



Racing thoughts, the only ones that occupied his mind at all times, flashed before his eyes as he staggered onward, the pain in his right back leg, though used to bother him terribly, was now becoming an ordinary thing for him, he had become accustomed to the pain, and thus had become numb to it. He was an unusual dog by way of intellect, he was smarter than most border collies, almost human level intelligent.

Looking at my own reflection, when suddenly it changes, violently it changes, now there is no turning back now that you've woken up the demon in me.

He lived by one rule -- The strong survive, the weak lay down and die. And he believed himself to be strong of spirit and heart, but knew that because of his leg, he was seen as weak, but don't let the limp fool you.

Lacey liked spring. It wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t too cold. It was just right. Lacey trotted through town, shaking out her chocolate tri-color coat. As she passed the white-house saloon she noticed a limping shepherd and frowned, tilting her head. She might be a flirt and she might not have a huge attention span, but she wasn’t cruel. She walked towards the shepherd, smirking silently to herself as she took in his appearance. She paused, watching him limp before he trotted towards him. ”Hello. I’m Lacey, what’s your name?” She asked sweetly, eyes wide and innocent, though there was a slightly flirty edge to her tone.

Snapped from his thoughts, he glanced at her, saying "Axel. Axel Van Deriz." he said, for some reason deciding to use his full name. Finally finding a fairly comfortable spot, he lay down there, glancing about at his surroundings. Noting a mouse scurry by, but did nothing, giving a heavy sigh as the pain in his leg slowly subsided to merely some twinges now and then. He looked at her, she was a lovely girl, seemed innocent enough too, he liked innocent girls, they were sweet, like he could be on his good days. Today was neutral. He wasn't angry or annoyed, but wasn't particularly happy either. "So, what brings you around here, m'dear?" he asked,tail thumped idly beside him, oh well, at least he had someone to talk to for now.

”Oh, fancy are we? Last name, hm?” She teased the shepherd delicately, feathered banner wagging behind her. Her ears flattened to her head as thunder cracked, fur bristling on her shoulders as she glanced at the clear sky, rapidly becoming dark. The pretty girl shuffled closer to the bigger dog as thunder rumbled and snarled in the air around them. She pranced in place, rolling her shoulders, eyes wide with fright, like a young foal experiencing it’s first thunderstorm. She tried to focus on his words, her face twitching as she shuffled closer. ”I’m...I’m...” Her tongue was thick in her mouth. She..she couldn’t breath. She kept trying to take a breath, trying to moisten her mouth. Trying to make her tongue form words. She couldn’t, not anymore. She swallowed thickly again, shaking. She wanted to run, run back home and find Erik, away from the awful thunder. Her legs felt weak and chills ran up and down her back. Her chest hurt and she felt terrible. Awful. She squeezed her eyes shut and continued to try to inhale again, feeling her throat tighten. She bit her lip, trying to control her panic attack. She knew how though, right? She tried to calm herself but another boom of lightening caused her to tense up again.

Axel tilted his head at her sudden panic attack, getting up and sitting beside her. As though offering to protect her. He gently nuzzled her, so he wasn't all big and bad, eh? Good. If his paws were human arms, he would have hugged her gently, instead he nuzzled under her chin in an attempt to comfort her. He was a sweetheart once you got to know him, and right now, he was showing his softer side, his gentler side. "It's OK, I'm here." He was the oldest of the litter he was born in, so whenever his dad went on a rampage, he found it was his duty to protect his younger siblings, and, strangely, he felt the same way with this pretty young woman.
