Stalking in the grass. She kept her body low to the ground, her fawn body blended well with the dead grass around her. There was a rabbit just ahead of her, being lured closer by the smell of sweet greens that she had hastened together as bait for her prey, honestly, she had hoped to get something a bit bigger, but beggars couldn't be choosers. Upon the rabbit beginning to chew the greens, she leaped, pouncing on the rabbit and snappiung it's neck, killing it instantly.
Now she trotted to a hiding place proudly with her kill, hiding amongst some brush with a metal sheet covering three sides and above like a small run-in. hidden well by the foilage she began to eat her kill.

** How many times had the lupe visited these parts after dropping a flower at his beautiful sister's grave? It was so many that he couldn't even count, it was like he came here every single day, taking a stroll through the cream colored wheat fields, blending perfectly with the ochre soil, a true paradise for man and dog alike. But he wasn't some mutt, no, he was a purebred Timber Wolf, the true wild beast in these woods, able to take down a doe easily when it would take at least two ordinary canines to hunt it together, though that was probably because he was larger than most breeds of domesticated pups. Standing thirty four inches at the shoulder and weighing in at exactly one hundred pounds, well, this brute was definitely not to be considered small, though his calm and charming demeanor usually got people to trust the compulsive liar, believe the conman's lies, it was all a part of who he was as a male. He missed Crucifix, the Mexican Wolf who had adopted Nico as a sun, though he had left, leaving the alpha spot open in their pack, and having been the beta and sole heir to the name of Vinum, the boy was practically the new leader of their group. He had to take in more responsibility, something he didn't like, though it also meant more girls came waddling over to him, wanting to get the leader to love them so they could be able to call themselves a queen, but never had he fallen for those types, no, he was attached to the sweet vixens, affectionate and loving with him, even if he had been born as a stray Chihuahua.
** This was why his Schizotypal Personality Disorder got in the way a lot, it didn't allow him to make bonds with possibly permanent mates, no, he always left before it got too serious, for in his mind, they would all leave him in the end, abandon him just like his family had, the cinnamon colored fur along his spine raising up at that notion. The willowy canine slowed to a stop as he smelt the recognizable odor of a metallic tang of blood, like someone had recently just killed something, and his erect lobes flickered forward as he sniffed the air some more, tilting his tapered muzzle up with closed eyes. Then those pale azure irises snapped open, hearing the vaguest sound, that of bone cracking, and he turned on a dime, long legs carrying him forward in a few seconds, only to then leap over the low riding fence when he saw a fluffy mass hidden inside one of the small shelters that used to belong to the farm dogs that lived here, before the dust storm. As he got closer he noticed a very pretty Belgian Shepherd munching on a rabbit, probably the source of the life liquid, to which the towering wolf got closer, his foots silent like that of a phantom, before he sat down on his haunches, a few feet away, stating in that soothing tenor voice, “Good evening, madam. Enjoying your meal?”

For a moment, nothing was spoken from her, for it was rude to talk with your mouth full. Upon swallowing the mouthful of food, her brown eyes flecked with darker brown flicked to Nicolae. "Indeed, actually." she had just as sweet and soothing a voice, though it held no tricks, unlike what he may possibly be planning. Aye, she had heard of a lupine that had tricked many a female into handing something over to him, food being one of them. And now that she was faced with the possible culprit, she would need to be careful in her decisions.

** The brute had seated himself upon his leanly muscled haunches, merely observing as the woman ate her food, and then from the way she chewed, he could already tell what sort of girl he was being faced with, dear lord save him, he was going to be driven insane by the queen bee type. He was good with sweet good girls, not the ones that would make you want to bang your head against a random rock, though he took in a deep breath and decided not to judge her too quickly, despite all the amounting evidence that she was already doing the same to him, giving him that damned look that just spelled, 'oh you criminal' all over it. Hah, she didn't know him, nor what he did, so he didn't even care as he just quirked a brow, waiting until after her lovely soprano chords floating past his tympanic membrane, to which he snorted out, “You don't have to worry about your food, I don't want it, nor need it. I'm not as bad as everyone thinks.” Yeah he liked to con people out of things, but that was only when he was bored and knew that they didn't need, plus must of the time he just ended up returning it back when they didn't notice, it was a strange quirk of his, but he liked the rush of adrenaline when doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing, like when he had killed some those wolves in his pack, the ones who had raped Violetta.
** Cold eyes stared directly into those of chocolate, and he had to admit, she was pretty gorgeous, so at least she had that going for her, definitely a male or two would have charmed her by now, but this wolf wasn't in the flirty mood as of the moment, only this rage hidden on the inside that was slowly simmering down as he watched the sparrows hop around on the roof of the farmhouse, a small smile on his lips as he stated, “Those birds, they're always here. It's like they know that they're safe on this farm.” His fluffy tail then wrapped around his flank as he stared down at the stranger, deciding that it would only be polite if he had introduced himself, sonorous lyrics falling from his larynx like a waterfall as, “My name is Nicolae, pleasure to meet you miss…?” Hey, if he was already here, then he might as well make some small conversation and try to learn about this Belgian Malinois, see where she was from, maybe even make a friend if she turned out to be different than with what he originally imagined. It was a nice spring morning and it already was making his mood turn for the better as he took a deep breath of this flowery aroma, knowing that it was coming in from the north, where all the fruit fields were found, a place he routinely visited during the summer and fall, not right now though, for they were still growing, no more than tiny beads of berries, but soon they would become large and juicy.

"SPEAK" THINK "Pleasure, Nicolae. I am Sheba, apologies for my misunderstanding earlier."She said, as though saying that she thought he was someone else. glancing to the birds as he did, she nodded as though agreeing
"Indeed, it appears they do." Biting off another chunk of the meat she wondered What's up with this guy? What goes on in his mind and what does he want to do? But she pushed the thought aside, figuring it was none of her business, which it wasn't and she knew it, she simply watched him for a moment before speaking again "It appears I've misjudged you, many apologies." she said with a nod of her head, he seemed sweet enough. Just as she appeared as sweet as the treat her eyes resembled. Perhaps they had misjudged each other? ** Upstanding ears stiffly stood as he tried to pick up every single syllable that left the pretty girl, especially the part that contained her name, for he liked to listen to these facts about people, it would help later on if he was friends with her, for it was only embarrassment if you had to ask for their title again because you were foolish and weren't paying any attention. Noticing that she was still eating her rabbit, he let out a chuckle, she was so formal and proper, just like someone of the royal family, to which he knew it would take some time until she was finished, thus he laid down on to his lean abdomen, tilting his muzzle as he stated, “Makes the dirty wolf in me shy to see such a lovely woman eating with grace.” It was true, he was a vagabond, a conman, he didn't take time when he ate, no, he would scarf it down and then continue on his journeys, it was just the way his personality was founded. In a teasing manner, he crossed one paw over the other as he waggled his brows playfully, showing the friendly side of his soul, how he liked to make people laugh or smile. At the mention of the birds he glanced up once more, azure irises locked on the feathery bundles, only for them to flap away at the sharp sound of another dog's bark, a bunch of puppies following after their mother as they zoomed along the road, disappearing as quickly as they had come, and somewhere deep within the lupe, he knew he had always wished for a family like that.
** Shaking his head to disperse such thoughts, Nicolae focused his attention on the Belgian Shepherd once more, his earthen hued coat flattening down since he wasn't as jittery anymore, taking in her sort of apology, to which he responded respectfully with, “As have I, my apologies to you as well. It seems we have both judged one another without even hearing each other out.” His tail wagged as he flashed her one of his characteristic charming smiles, lowering his head down until his chin touched the dirt, watching her with his sharp icy eyes, deciding to at least make some conversation until she finished her food, “Are you from around these parts, Sheba?” She had a rather exotic name, and he really wondered where she had got it from, to which the American waited a few more moments, not really in a rush today, for it wasn't like he had anything important to do, his pack was rather laid back, and they never needed the immediate presence of an alpha, if he could be considered that. He just wanted to find his adoptive father and bring him back so he could lead their group, Nico wasn't ready for the experience, he was just a carefree beta, who probably didn't deserve as much as he got. His nose twitched at this solemn idea, only to then add to his previous question with spicy tones, deep and romantic, “If you don't mind me asking, is there anything special behind your name?”

"SPEAK" THINK Giving a soft chuckle when he waggled his brow, he was a silly one, she replied "Well, it makes me shy, somewhat, for the little princess to come across such a handsome man on the street." She meant nothing rude by it, if it sounded that way, it was actually quite the compliment coming from her. When he asked where she was from and if there was a meaning behind her name, she smiled and said "Oh, I was actually born in a different town, much like this one. And there's no special meaning unless you enjoy being called 'Spoiled little princess.'" she said with a slight chuckle again, now finishing her rabbit, she looked over at him. "And what of your name, Nicolae? If I may be so bold as to ask the same question." Amount; 137 words Notes; Used a word counter this time. ** A grin was plastered on the rubbery lips of the tall brute as he observed the beautiful maiden, especially when her coloratura tones reached his hearing range, and her words probably would have made any other male blush furiously, after all, who didn't love a genuine compliment from an attractive woman? Though Nicolae was the king of charm, and if anything, sweet words just fueled his confidence as he smiled at her, winking before purring playfully, “Thank you.” Now being a soul that loved to learn things about other people, for it would help him better understand the world around him, a logical path in life, one ear slanting forward to milk every single syllable that left her maws, nose twitching as she explained how it really held no meaning. That was when he chuckled, listening to the crude nickname that perhaps others called her, and he understood how that would feel, harmful against one's self esteem, to which he kindly added, “I wouldn't say spoiled little princess, just misunderstood, seems like they don't take the time to get to know you, like I almost did by thinking to leave in the first minute. But hey, proved myself wrong, you're actually quite sweet.” His tail wagged slowly at this notion, showing that he was being true with his words, he wasn't a liar when it came to these things, he saw no point, he would've be brutally honest and told her it was true that she was spoiled if he believed she was, but in his opinion, that was incorrect.
** The wolf watched as she finished up her meal, practically nothing left other than fluffy gray plucked fur on the ground with the bones and some nasty organs that she didn't devour, and maybe it was for the best seeing as how they already began to boil in the sunlight. Sheba then asked him the same question, to which he charmingly flashed her a beam again, standing on his long legs as he used his head to usher towards the forest path as he offered teasingly, “Only if you join me on a walk.” As the pair started waltzing forward, that was when the American started to explain what his title contained, heard as, “Well, according to my original father, I was his only son, and trust me, he was horrible, so sadistic and unfeeling towards women, he used them all as slaves, even my sister, Violetta, I loved her. He gave me the name Nicolae because it means victorious, as in he wanted me to inherit the pack from him and continue such slaughter. But after he killed my sister, well, I left, all the way here to Saddle Creek, and Crucifix adopted me as his son, so now I'm beta of Vinum, and I guess I kept my name, since I believe that I am now proud to be able to help something become important.” He bobbed his head as he finished the explanation, tossing in a bit of his history in there as well, for he was never one of those canines that was ashamed or shy or too broken to talk about his rugged past, he just thought it was another page in the book of your life, and you shouldn't want to hide it from your readers. That would be his ultimate downfall. Turning his head, the tall male glanced down at the Belgian Malinois as he asked her, “Met any interesting people in Saddle Creek yet, or have you not been here very long?”

"SPEAK" THINK She listened to him, when he offered to tell her the meaning of his name if she joined him on a walk, she smiled and nodded, he seemed nice enough. "Sure, a little excercise after a meal never hurt anyone." She said, chuckling at the idea. She probably sounded like a human right about now. When he began telling her of the meaning of his name, she was fascinated, though slightly disgusted when he described his father. "Certainly sounds horrible." she replied, glancing up at him. He was a large wolf, and she only just noticed. Geez, where had she been the last hour or so? "Tell me more of yourself, if you would?" she asked, she wasn't spoiled, little curious yet proper, but definitely not spoiled. ** The brute’s long legs stretched out as he yawned, the muscles in his thighs burning as he shook his pelt from all of the dirt that had collected from the fact that he had been laying down for quite a while, tail lashing slowly as he yawned, metabolism slow from not having eaten in a while, but he was used to keeping himself thin, it was better than being too bulky. He let out a small laugh at her words, what a princess, though he did find it rather adorable as he trotted forward a few steps with a puff of breath, cold blue eyes staring right into the forest as they walked side by side, occasionally his side bumping into her’s as their fur mingled in a cocktail of colors. Her creamy coat, ringed with dark cocoa, mixed with that of cinnamon, just like a fresh roll coming out of the oven, delectable and sweet, yes, that was what their presence was like, sweet food causing everyone to go insane, and maybe if someone walked upon them taking this stroll they would think that they were a couple due to this bodily contact. But alas, this wolf didn’t fall in love nor did he have sexual flings, no, he was dedicated to his pack and having some fun with a girl was out of the question, plus he never could find himself to locate someone that he knew would remain loyal to him and not run off to someone else, abandon him forever…
** Nicolae glanced down at the words that followed his explanation of his cruel biological father, and there was a hint of sadness in those aquatic depths, to which he bobbed his head in agreement with her statement, sighing out, “Yes, he was a disgusting man, if I only I had found him and ended his life on my own. He’s probably dead now, though, seeing as how the pack must have revolted, one way or another.” He tilted his head with a gentle smile when she asked him to talk more about himself, to which he furrowed his brows with a hum, trying to think of some more things about himself as he then spoke with amusement, “Well, I like to fish, strangely, by the lake near my pack’s land, we live on a winery, where the grapes still bloom, even if it is no longer used to make alcohol. The colors are amazing, especially during the autumn, perhaps you should visit sometime, though it is best if you are with me during that time, considering how my pack isn't very… open to dogs in terms of equality, though I do not think in the same way that they do.” His paws danced against the beige soil as they turned a corner, the fur billowing through his thick coat as he let out a relaxed noise, only to then look down at the beautiful Belgian Shepherd once more, deciding to return the question, “What about yourself? Tell me something about you.” This was asked seeing as how he barely knew anything about her when she was given so much information about the normally elusive wolf, and because it was a true fact that his species was overtly curious about everything around them.
