Close your eyes and make believe this is where you want to be Darkness surrounded the atmosphere, as the spring day was filled with constant rain and storms making the night come sooner and have an eerie essence move within the air. Moving between the forestline, came a creature, large in stance and silver with unique markings laced along his hair walked out of the trees, dried mug clung to his body, as his course fur was slick from the precipitation. He moved quickly, and swiftly, as long straight edged legs carried him across the lawn. As the male came up to the five stair step that the house had, his taunt muscles became even tighter as long legs pushed his body up and over all five steps, landing heavily on the wood porch. Without even stopping, the boy pushed through the door. Mind fogged and tired, body hurting and cold, his long legs took him down the stairs to the basement. A lone light at the bottom of the basement stairs lit the room up, sending it’s dusty rays of light into the darkness. The basement was nearly uninhabited besides one little merle girl.
Sighing, the large beast slowly walked down each step, his green golden eyes moved around as he searched for the one that lived down here. Though, her choice of living under mafian rules was forced, the cane corso tried to give her the best prison that he could. Coming up to the room where she was kept, the beast gave the mafian solider who was on guard an approving nod. Go to the top of the stairs. You’re off duty for now. Ryland’s voice was stern and taunt, as he watched the small frame of a shepherd mix leave his presence. The blue brindle male didn’t necessarily know why he had come down here, why his paws had taken him down the stairs to her room instead of up the stairs to their room. It was over. Ryland knew this. Lady Marvela was slipping farther and farther away from him, as well as he was slipping farther and farther away from her. He had slipped, and deeper than ever before. The leader knew his faults, and even told Lady before hand that he couldn’t be faithful, but now he was starting to push it to the limits.
Pushing the wooden door open, the male’s head poked through the crack, an endearing smile crossed his brindle marked face as his green eyes light up as they set eyes upon the merle female. Natalia Ryland called her name with a soft voice, full of tenderness and feeling. Slipping past the door, into her room, green eyes fell to lust to sadness. As he looked upon her, many feelings rushed through the male. The face of the orange retriever appeared in his mind, as a snag of pain pulled at his heart. He truly loved Marvela, but something wasn’t right, something was wrong, and he wasn’t sure why. It didn’t also help that Ryland was himself, and couldn’t be faithful, even if his children depended on it. Chewing on his lip, as he watched the merle girl, eyes scanning along her body, trailing over her delicate frame and unique coat patterning, guilt took over pain as he stared at her. I’m sorry that I have to keep you here. Ryland’s long legs moved down to where his belly touched the cold hard floor, as he now looked up at her. She didn’t
deserve this treatment, she wasn’t a bad dog, nor did Ryland necessarily think she was a traitor, it was mainly to protect herself from other members of the mafia as well as the Hermeaous Mora. Gulping down a lump in his throat, he wagged his short tail, as he knew that Natalia wouldn’t be very friendly to him. It was his fault she was locked up in this room, and it was his fault that her life was now hunted by the Mora, and it was his fault that every member in the pack thought that this small, little merle female was part of everything that they were against. Letting out a long sigh, Ryland was speechless. He didn’t know why he was here, laying down in front of her. He, himself was fragile, heart broken from Marvela and lusting for others. It seemed as though everything was falling apart, and the only one that Ryland wanted to be around, at this moment of time was Natalia. The large cane corso male laid in silence, as he stared up into the mixed eyes of Natalia. There were sadness in his own orbs and heart, and he was sure that it was there in the girl’s essence as well.

** Natalia's lashes fluttered against the short fur on her cheeks as she let out a sigh, staring at the cell parallel from her, empty, so she had no company in here other than the guard, and hey, maybe she would have been able to seduce him and escape, but she had left the life of a slut, wanted to change. Or maybe it was just that her heart was pained, she felt betrayed by one of the first males she had ever trusted as a friend and not as some flavor of the week, that he had been like the single boy that didn't want her for her body, and actually saw her as a being who could think and do things on her own. But now, she knew she was wrong. She heard all the gossip from the scouts as they kept watch over her at night, how he had a mate but he didn't stay faithful, and how he had like sixteen children, each litter from another girl each time, she didn't want to be played like that, she wasn't a toy. A frown lined her lips as she sighed, golden irises glancing over at the Shepherd mix that was just standing still and scanning around, making sure no one would come in and free the prisoner, and she just silenced her groan again, ignoring him as he told her to eat from the leg of meat they had brought for her, already a few days old, seeing as how she wouldn't touch it.
** The Spitz mix didn't want any help from this goddamn pack, she didn't trust any of them, she wouldn't be surprised at all if they had poisoned the food or something, to watch her die a painful death, and as tears stung at her eyes, she let out a quiet laugh as she imagined the Cane Corso at the head of the entire group, the one finding this the most entertaining. She hated him, no, she loathed him with her entire passion. She wasn't the traitor, he was. He had made her feel protected and cared for, when really he was probably just using her, and now she wouldn't even be able to walk outside without the entire pack seeing as her as some sort of scum, even though the only thing she had done was gone to the opposing group for some answers, she wasn't aligning with them, only wanted to know, to sate her troubled mind. She was starting to get thin, though her thick merle fur hid such bones and what-not, but it wasn't like the pack would care, they most likely wanted her dead anyways, she knew her mother would have been so disappointed in her at this moment, and that was what pained her the most. Jewel had been so innocent and kind, loved by everyone, and she knew her dame would want her daughter to be the same, adored by the mass population, but no, that was not true anymore, she was a failure to her family's name.
** The mutt's attention was captured when her name was spoken by a familiar baritone voice, and she elegantly lifted her head up, staring into those pale jade eyes, only to then avert her gaze when she noticed it was Ryland, a sadness overcoming her once more as he dismissed the guard. She adjusted herself so that she was slightly placing her shoulder to him rather than her face, she didn't want to look at him. Her semi-folded lobes flickered in his direction as he spoke something to her, and that was when her patience and self-control finally broke, and she tossed him a half-hearted glare, barely mumbling out, “Stop, Ryland. Stop it with the lies, I don't want to hear them anymore.” She finally turned towards him, standing up so she could just sit down as opposed to being so vulnerable on her belly, and she just stared with furrowed brows, taking her time in sending these mental messages at him, only to then say, “What do you even want? Can't you just leave me alone and let me rot in this stupid prison?” Her terms were full of spite and anger, she didn't want to show the fear or lack of self-worth beneath the surface, because she carried herself as an independent and confident woman, so she wouldn't do anything but that.

I ain’t Casanova, me and Romeo ain’t never been friends Eyes fell upon the spritz mix, as his heart beat against his chest. Green eyes looked up at her, as she barely even looked upon the silver brindle male. His eyes scanned her fur, the merle girl didn’t look as attractive as when they first met, but Ryland was sure that if he was locked up in a basement, he probably wouldn’t look the best either. Letting out a sigh, his eyes fell upon the old meat that was brought out for her. Staring it down, he noticed the horrible scent that it was carrying and how it looked as though they had brought her rotting food. The large male growled with annoyance, as he shook his head. This was not how he wanted this small female to be treated. Coming back to reality, the sound of Natalia’s voice sang in his ears, her voice was sharp and harsh, but as Ryland looked up into her golden eyes, and gave her a small smile. She was hurt, and he did not blame the girl at all. Ryland still laid there, now his large square head resting upon his paw. I really am sorry… his voice was low, and highly apologetic, as the strong mafian leader, looked like a mere pup. Pain shadowed his eyes, as he stared into the painstaking eyes of Natalia. Her deep, golden eyes, the ones that Ryland felt so secure with, her blue and white coat, the one that he felt so attached too. Natalia was one of a kind, and any other girl wouldn’t even had spoke a word to him. I messed up, Nat, and I don’t know how to fix myself. Ryland muttered, sadness dripped in every words. He knew why he had came down here, it was written all over the male, but he hoped that Natalia wouldn’t decline him, wouldn’t push him away, wouldn’t reject the blue brindle
male. I didn’t come down here to lie to you, Natalia. I never lied to you, and I don’t want to start now. Ryland’s words picked up, as he felt a surprised that she thought that he lied. What was it that he even lied about? Rolling large green eyes, he looked away from her, letting the anger slip away from both of them before he spoke again. What do I want? I wanted to make sure that you were being treated well.. Ryland eyes moved to the rotten meat, and frowned. …You deserve better than this, better than this room, better than that fuckin’ chunk of meat… His words trailed off, as he watched Natalia stood up over him. For once, the female was towering over him, and in a strange way, Ryland liked the feeling over being dominated over. Smiling, his docked tail wagged apologetically. Let me make it up to you? The words came out of Ryland’s mouth like milk and honey, sweet and dripping off his tongue, thick as blood. Lust formed over within his eyes, as his ears stood perked up along his blocky head. You know exactly what you do. Let’s make this better between us, Natalia. I am sorry, this is no way to treat a women such as yourself. Do you think you’ll let me fix it? Ryland said, sitting up now, his bones cracking from laying on the hard cement floor as an unhappy frowned crossed his face. Natalia... He said her name slowly, with the most charming smile along his lips, eyes green and glued to her own orbs.
The words slipped out, but he had no feelings besides longing for the spritz mix. Everything he has ever said to Marvela had slipped out of his brain, and every child he had- their names escaping from his brain. All he wanted was this female, the one in front of him, with the sad golden eyes and the dirty merle fur. He knew he was going to regret this later, that everything he was doing this night would end up and bite Ryland in the ass, but he did not care. Why would it matter? He didn't need Marvela, as much as he wanted her, and that was the difference. Ryland knew that his single life was just as good as his marital life, it was just that he was happier single. He knew that Mona, Mila, and Marvela all deserved better than him. Ryland gave out his love like the sun gave out light, but what was wrong with it if he was reasonable for the mistakes he has made? He wasn't a deadbeat father, and he wasn't a poor leader, it was just commitment that the large cane corso struggled with. Let me love you down, girl. Ryland’s voice rumbled, as his eyes traveled along her body, a crooked smile shaped his lips as his eyes shined in the dim light of the prison cell.
But tonight girl I’ma show you how much I love you, let the party begin

** The female so badly wanted to hate him with every single fiber of her being, but as she saw the sadness in those pale green eyes, she just wanted to snuggle up beside him, however, being the stubborn woman she was, she did not give into those feelings, and instead just made eye contact. She didn't care if he was the alpha of the pack or not, she saw him as her equal, and would not bow down to anyone, and by the look in her gaze, she made sure he would know that as well, she wasn't his pet or anything, she was just as mentally powerful as he was, even if their sizes were altered. Once she had stood up, her hips instantly were stanced in a form that showed she knew how to show off what attributes she had, practically instinct from the days she had been considered a whore, and her tassel was held level with that. She grazed her eyes over his expression to see if he was being sincere, and she bit her lip when she noticed that he was, and that was what made her feel the most confused, since she was used to other dogs lying and being dishonest, but never truthful like this boy was being, which made her even more frustrated. She let out a huff, raising a paw as she then placed the dainty appendage on his blunt muzzle, the white fur of it so stark and blank when contrasted with silver hairs.
** Natalia pressed down lightly as she showed perhaps a hint of sympathy in those cold aureate irises as she craned her own snout down, backing her body away as she touched her nose to his own lightly, cautious as she said, “Ryland, when we met, we laughed and joked about how we would have our fairy tale and be free. How, tell me how, can I be free when I'm locked up, counting the hours that pass? I want to live my story, find my prince charming, live happily ever after like my mother, at least she passed on with my father, who loved her. But what am I? Someone's dirty whore that they come to second.” Her lyrics stung her heart, not because they were cruel to herself but because they were true, and her breath hitched as she just averted her voids to stare at the stone walls. When Ryland started talking about the meat and what not, the Spitz mix held back some laughter as she grazed her optics once more over his handsome body, adding, “Don't get mad at them for not feeding me or something, I chose not to eat it when it was fresh. I don't need anyone's help to survive, I'll only eat what I catch, no need for people to think I owe them.” The merle girl then took another step back as he stood up, speaking of something to make it up to her, and she quirked a brow, already knowing what he was talking about, but this was exactly what she had been trying to avoid!
** The leader of the Mafia then finally stood to match her, their eyes locking as her own ears flattened against her skull. Not sure if she should agree to this, the mutt felt some inner turmoil, her breath more ragged as she started to feel like she should run away, nails scraping the floor as she stuttered, “R-Ry, this is not the time.” Damn him for his intoxicating scent and masculine façade, the one that made her feel protected and loved, and as he got closer, murmuring sweet nothings into her ear, she found herself believing them, even if one part of her mind knew that he would always find someone else, hell, he already did. But the only thing she did was nod in permission, rubbing the curve of her head underneath his chin, relishing in the warmth and heat that he exuded, just like a perfectly touched furnace. Nata knew she would be drawn into heaven for a few hours, perhaps feel like a princess again while in this man's presence, but there was also the expectation that after this sexual excursion, she would be left alone in this cell again. From her younger days, with all those fun romps, not once had she gotten pregnant, and she knew she had inherited that from her grandmother, they weren't as fertile as other dogs, but there was this nagging feeling in the girl's heart that something different would happen this time… Be it a blessing, or a curse.

I'm in the mood for lovin' He saw the confusion in her graze, which jumped into Ryland’s own pools. Cocking his head, he watched the turmoil inside of her dance. How she was holding back, and how she wanted to let go. The struggle within herself, just made Ryland want to make her want him more, and in his manly, predatory mind, just made him want her more. Blinking his eyes, as her paw came over his mouth, a small, playful smile crossed from underneath her hand. His nub of a tail wagged, as he stared into her eyes. Natalia backed away, but before completely leaving the blue brindle male, she placed her nose to his. Sighing, he looked at her kindly, seeing the apprehension that flowed through her like an open stream. As Natalia spoke, her words slapped Ryland in the face, as his own eyes showed nothing but remorse. Lips quivering, he wasn’t sure what to say, besides that he was overly sorry. Nat, you don’t have to be locked down here any longer, but please stay at the house. You are right, it was wrong of me to lock you up down here under guardian surveillance like you are some sort of monster. Is there any way you’ll be able to forgive me? He ended his sentence by licking the small girl across the cheek, eyes pouring out sincerity and remorse. Shaking his large blocky head, he gave a small chuckle. Why must you be so stubborn? Ryland whispered, another playful smile over his maw. Well, if you want to hunt, go ahead. He pointed towards the door, making it known she was free to leave. But, mind if I come along? I could use a good hunt. His words coming out a tad more flirtatious that what he wanted, but he finished it off with a wink and a crocked smile. Moving closer towards the female, he watched as
Natalia pulled back, ears flattening against her crown, and that inner turmoil had returned. Stopping in mid-step, Ryland gave out a smile moan. It was a moan of innocence, as he finally realized the mistakes he had made. He took another step closer, his tongue running across the bridge of her nose up between her eyes. I’m sorry, Natalia. I am so sorry, please… let me make it up to you. He didn’t want to lose a friend, and in fact, if children did form between the two, he knew that they would have a special relationship. Possibly one that Lady could never give Ryland. Lady… The male thought to himself. The face of the golden hued female pictured in his mind, but he couldn’t keep lying to himself nor her, and they both knew this was going to come sooner or later. He was completely faithful for a year, the longest he has ever been. Their children were now coming out of puppy hood. He did was he wanted- to stay with their mother until they were older. He did what he could, now it was time for his lustful, immoral self to reappear. The touch of Natalia’s warm fur from underneath him made all thoughts of the nova scotia melt away, and he knew he would have to pay for his consequences later, but right now, at this exact moment, it wasn’t the time to be thinking about Marvela. You ready? Ryland whispered into to her ear, his lips pressed between her ear and cheek. Baby, said she wants a menace, like Dennis
