Name: Rebecca
Gender: Female
Age: 6 years
Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Appearance: Rebecca, like a traditional corgi, has a long, compact body with short, stubby legs. Rebecca has a deep ginger fur coloring with a white chest, underbelly and paws. Her snout in square with a round head and large, round brown eyes. She has very little, to no tail at all- she just wiggles her butt. Her ears are perked and alert, with a round black nose. Rebecca stands 10 in at the shoulder, and weighs around 23.5 lbs.
Personality: Fragile might be a good place to start, although the corgi breed isn't known for this and Rebecca from the past would scoff at her know, in the world of dog eat dog, she's an appetizer. After getting beaten up severely by several big, muscular dogs, her spirit broke and she became so frightened, she hardly leaves the shelter she has at the time. Rebecca is a very soft spoken dog, she always had been and may have to speak a couple of times before someone can hear her, much to her inward annoyance, but on the outside, she acts like it doesn't bother her. Leading us to her next trait, Rebecca wears a mask, never showing her feelings outwardly. She's stoic, almost all the time, even when she's by herself if she isn't having a good cry. She is however, very intelligent, she the dog equivalent of a scientist, although she can't explain exactly how the cell cycle works, she knows a lot about plants- like the good from the bad, what works on what, how it works, etc. etc. but she doesn't like to show it, in fear a bigger dog will want to take advantage of her smaller stature and force her to join a pack and then get beaten on the rest of her life.
History: Rebecca was not always so timid, especially around larger dogs. Rebecca's owner was a plant scientist and an adventurer, taking Rebecca everywhere he went. The man was in his late forties with no family, his wife dying in child birth and the baby being a still born. In his adventures, Rebecca would learn what she could about herbs and other plants, tying to grasp her human's infatuation with them and how they could heal wounds and cure illnesses. Rebecca was not alone however, many men brought along their much bigger, tougher dogs- mainly for hunting and guarding the supplies while the men went out and explored. The dogs grew fond of Rebecca's bold attitude and fearless determination. When she was just a pup, having been born to an older mother who had had several litters before her's, and had gotten pregnant by accident by the corgi next door, was always adventurous. When the man had seen Rebecca's spirit, he knew she was the ultimate companion to bring along his journeys. At the time, Rebecca stood up to any foe, no matter the size. On one unfaithful day, she had been traveling with her owner and his team, treading across the barren Oklahoma landscape to test try and make crops grow in what seemed forever dryness. Late in the night, a strong storm brewed, causing sand to fly in every direction, sucking up all she knew in just a short few minutes.
Utterly lost and scared, Rebecca tried her best to travel back to her home in Northern Florida, unbeknowest to her, traveling north instead of south, running into a tough pack of dogs that turned her life into a living hell. The dogs, male especially, took to beating her up when they were angry and the smaller in size ones trying to have their way with her. When they learned about her knowledge with the healing properties of herbs, they quickly tucked her away, guarding her at all times. The only time she was able to get out was when she went to collect more plants. Although she healed them, they still forced themselves on her, in any way that would vent out their anger, stress and lust. After about a year of the torture and how luckily she didn't get pregnant, Rebecca had a chance to escape.
A rivaling pack was quickly moving in on them, and all forces were called to battle, leaving Rebecca's prison ungaurded. They threatened to find and kill her if she dare leave, but she knew this oppurtunity wouldn't happen again. Once she was sure they had left, she grabbed a few herbs and took off. She avioded the rivaling pack and her own 'pack', as they were too busy fighting to worry about a small dog taking off. After days of traveling, the corgi found herself in the small town, with an unknown fate.
