The year is 69 ABY.
The War has been waging for three years now. The Galactic Federation, manipulated by the Sith, has continued to hammer away at the Empire, the Jedi, and the Mandalorians. Dozens of systems are lost to the Federation as more and more planets are conquered by the Federal forces, and hundreds of thousands of lives are lost due to the tactics of Supreme Commander Evangeline Kira. Behind the scenes, the Sith have manipulated their way into the planetary governments of the Federation planets and have begun to make in roads towards permanently corrupting the former democracy by virtually eliminating all opposition parties. They do not tread openly in Federal space, but they operate close to it. Militarily, they have dominated the War, with the battle of Concord Dawn virtually eliminating the Mandalorian food supply and Ossus falling to the Federal hammer as well. Only the Imperials were able to stand against them in that first year with Ord Mantell remaining a bastion of hope as the Imperials protected it from the Federal invasion. But, they could not stop the destruction of the Bilibringi repair yards at the same time.
It is a dark time for the Galaxy, and the Allied powers find themselves pushed towards the brink. But all hope is not lost.
The Empire, rallying to their new Emperor, Achillius Burkhardt, has stood firm against the Federation. The new Emperor gives them hope as he and the Pontifex, Caleb le Torneau have sustained the people even in this time of trial. Caleb le Torneau has also put the Imperial Mission into overdrive to aid war torn planets and to make sure that the Empire is not only victorious on the field but also off it as well. In addition to this, the newly instituted Imperial Knights continue their vigil against the forces of the Dark Side. While they might not be able to vanquish it, they make sure it does not touch their Empire. While the Empire has lost its share of battles, it has gained an image of compassion and unity in the face of danger as all Imperial citizenry put differences aside to the motto of, "Many planets, one Empire." As the Federal machine continues to roll into them, the wall of the Empire holds.
With the aid of Grandmaster Micah Yugol, the Jedi have managed to recover from the stupor of the loss inflicted upon them during the Ossus campaign. Using the planet given to them by the Imperials as a refuge twenty years ago, the Order has been rebuilding both itself and its image abroad from Dantooine. A new movement has sprung from the shadows, taking various people from various places. In a democratic Federation of Free Alliances, these people would have been the voices of opposition. They would have been the ones trying to steer clear from war. Dac has become its central hub of activity. Those that seek to reinstate a new Republic, a democratic establishment to replace the current warped Federation, fight for the *Rebellion*.
Of all the factions, perhaps the hardest hit were the Mandalorians. Not only did they lose a great man in the sacrifice of Jinn Kolsar, but they have also lost their Mand'alor, Votun Gehran. To make things worse, the number of Mandalorian planets decimated by the Federation has only increased since the beginning of the war. In addition to Gargon and Vorp'aya, Concord Dawn also found itself under the hammer of the Federation and with it a large food supply was lost to the Mandalorian people. But just because a culture has been hit, does not mean it is down. As resilient as ever, the Mand'alor who came back from the dead, Krall Skirata has rallied his people and stands against the Federation defiantly. Aided by his people, and subtly by the planets surrounding the Mandalorian sector, he prepares to take a central role in the Allied powers against the Federation.
Even in the darkest of nights, the light of the stars show through. Life continues, and so too does the conflict. The people of the Galaxy are wounded, but stand strong against the siege of the Galaxy. Are you too prepared to join the Exodus?[/align]
