It was warm day out. The sun was risen to a high point, and fluffy white clouds dotted a ice blue sky. Though there was going to be a dramatic change in weather. Sniffing the air, a yelp came out of a tiny mouth. There was a freak storm on the way, and the scent of rain was strong. When there was rain, there was lightning and when there was lightning there was thunder. Thunder was one of the worse things to have booming when there is sensitive ears about.
Amaia looked around frantically. She was no where near her tiny blue barn. The barn she grew up in, and the barn she continued to live in. She was in town! This couldn't be any worse.. Vaughn was missing, a storm was coming, and home was far away. She whimpered and crawled under a tree then saw the general store. With happy hazel brown eyes, she charged after the store. Crawling in through the doors, she ran to the back storage and curled up in a small ball. This is where her and Vaughn hung out at their first meeting. The toy train still lay on its side from where she left it. She looked at it with a sad smile, and then adjusted her hat that Vaughn had given her. She felt she would be safe in here. Will, that's what she hopped.
A loud boom erupted from the outside, and soon after bright flashes filled the room. The storm has arrived, and now a terrified schnauzer was left alone in a store with no comfort. Curling into a tight ball, she howled in horror. She wanted the sounds to end, it hurt her ears. She shut her eyes tight and pawed at the air. But she knew that would do nothing, so she just crawled further into the shadows and pulled the small wooden train close to her. Curling around it, she began to shake and shut her eyes tight once more. It almost seemed like it was flooding outside .. yet it wasn't. Or at least she hopped. That was one of her worst fears, dying in a flood.
"Hush hush my little angel.. just listen to the song of the rain.. all well be ok."
She remembered when her mother use to say that to her, and hold her and her siblings close during rough storms. It always calmed her down .. but her mom for all she knew was dead, yet she could still hear her voice, sweet as honey and clear as the sea. Such a comfort .. but as she listened to her mothers words, she heard paw-steps and stiffened up. She could of swore she was the only one in here! Then again.. she could only smell the rain. She gulped and curled up tight praying it wouldn't notice her.
Amaia remembered that the last time she was in the general store, some dogs had cornered her and tried to hurt her. But Vaughn stepped in and saved her... but her knight in shinning fur was no longer here, so if it was the same dogs, she was in major trouble. Help me Mamma... prayed the small female.

Lately it seemed like the only thing the sky wanted to do was throw a tantrum that every one would have to endure. It wasn't the kindest of ways to repay the Earth for giving the sky someplace to be, but that didn't mean Kyoto wasn't at least somewhat enjoying the show. Whereas the last storm had been bothersome, this storm was simply glorious in the way it conquered the sky. Almost like a mating dance: the sky was showing off today in the way it tossed trees around, forcing them to participate in childish games. Just like before the sky had been a clear, crisp blue that stretched across the land completely bare of clouds. Within an hour or so, though, the sky had experienced a bit of an episode in the way it had grown furry with clouds as if it were a bear approaching winter.
While Kyoto had been content with the hand that had been dealt to him last time, however, the beast was not happy with the way his stomach screeched at him in it's hideous voice. He'd done his best to ignore it at first, but the moans had quickly turned into unhappy screeches and so he gave up, beginning his quest for food. A few miles back the beast had caught the familiar feminine smell of a little Schnauzer he had previously bothered while playing around with a group of canines that happened to be entertaining until that bothersome shepherd, who didn't look unlike the beast himself, had showed up and ruined his plans of mutt for dinner. He'd stocked the dog by slithering through the shadows, following that silly gait of a little dogs' legs that ran too fast for their own good just to get where a big dog could get within just a few strides.
The male drew closer to the worn down building he'd seen the prey walk into. He could already feel the plastic bag covering him and, slowly but painfully, stealing his right to breathe away from him. He could feel the way his body reacted to being so close to his prey. The way his spine stiffened, his weight shifted onto his haunches so he could carry himself quietly, and the way his tail surely, but steadily, slipped into the ease of it's dominant position. He slipped through the cracked door, steadying himself despite the odd texture difference that had taken place below his pads. The beast slowly drew in the scenes and scents that floated around him; his eyes eventually drawing him to the most pathetic looking creature he'd ever seen. "Hush hush my little angel.. just listen to the song of the rain.. all well be okay." the male's ear perked at the velvety voice of the canine who'd so poorly chosen to isolate himself.
Once the pounding of the rain began, Kyoto momentarily faltered, though it had devastating consequences. His nails clicked as he'd let his paw fall to the floor too heavily. He silently cursed himself, flattening his body to the floor as he stared on. He could feel his heart pounding at the thrill of hunting a canine. Never had he thought to try something. Canines were not like bunnies or deer. No matter how small they happened to be, they would always be a worthy opponent and, whether a tiny mutt or a large rodent, they could just as easily tear your throat out as you could theirs. There were distinct advantages to being small that big dogs weren't blessed with an Kyoto knew this. That's why he'd decided to finally try eliminating the competition. "Such a pretty little rat. Too bad you just led yourself into a death trap." he spoke, standing to his full length as he drew closer, allowing an amused twist of the tail and a slight chuckle to escape his mask into the world.
count 0649 notes The only thing I can say for the post is try to go into deeper detail. Describe what her surrounding look like and how they make her feel, the textures of the ground, the way the smell of rain was interpreted by the little dog. Did the store make her feel cold inside because of the good memories with Vaughn or did it make her fearful because of the absence of her knight in shining armor? And, for your next post, you can describe the way Ky looks with his predatory grin and cold eyes. Do what you want! Make him out to be the beast that she believes he is.

Click, clack, click, clack. They were coming closer and louder. Much larger paws then her own that were so dainty and small in size. Her head lifted as she scanned the dark room with her small olive round hazel brown eyes. It was as though she was trapped in a world of evil dogs. She was never to be safe. Her ears perked as she strained to hear the dog softly curse at himself. The rain pounding harder as her heart sped up.
Memories flashed her, as she fell back into the cabinets not even thinking to clamp the handle with her mouth and close it. She remembered it all to clearly, it was a horror she never wanted to have. Shadows flew past her and she had ran under a small table. She had a tiny bit of steak in her jaws when she suddenly was cornered by three huge dogs. One that happened to looked like a wolf. It was horrifying. The crept closer and taunted her. She was about to become dog chow until ..
Memories faded as a dog with burning red eyes entered her little safety haven. Her head shot up in terror as she felt her whole body tense up and ever fur on her fragile body shoot straight into the air as though it was gonna fly off into the sky and leave her a light pink color. She felt her blood run cold and her heart-beat stop. Her eyes blinked once, and then just followed the tall shadow. You could hear her body shaking in the small cabinet for it shook the small wooden storage.
Another flash and she fell with a loud thud, her bum now sore and head feeling weak. She felt light dimming and herself growing weaker then she already was. It was him. It was all so real. He was back to finish the job, the town sheriff stopped him from doing. Was this the end? She opened her mouth to scream, however nothing came out.
Soon, his voice came out from his maw and she was trapped. The cowboy hat lay on her head, and the train lay on its side in a corner where she had kicked it in fear. A chill was sent up her spine and she looked up at him, her heart began to beat insanely. Was this the end? Was it all over for the small schnauzer? It couldn't be .. but who would save her.
She opened her maw again to speak, but only a ghostly breath escaped as she stood there, shaking, her eyes sealed shut.

The room that surrounded the canines painted a very different picture from what Ky had in mind. Even his own body's movements went against his plans for the evening. The room was cold and gave off the impression it was waiting for something interesting to happen to it. As if blood stains could possibly add any emotion to the room. -- Again this is gonna be a wip. xD I swear I'll finish it tomorrow though. NO PROCRASTINATION. You may slap me if it's not finished tomorrow by the time you get on.
count 0649 notes That was an awesome post. ;D I'm gonna have to stick with my original "details, details, details" though. Maybe she's gasping for air and it feels like someone has just wrapped a plastic bag around her snout. Or maybe the fear is so strong that there's a pain in her chest cavity. I dunno, but don't be afraid to make it seem unrealistic. It's your own character's reality: it can be unrealistic if you want it to be!
