Name: The Doorman
Gender: Male
Age: 7 years
Breed: Rottweiler
Appearance: The Doorman is a large creature, his presence almost intruding. He stands with pride, stiff in a state of attention at all times. His coat is covered in the natural colours of a rottweiler, mostly black with the accenting brown on his underside, legs, and lower muzzle. The bits of lighter colour also shows around the ears, and with two dots above his similarly coloured eyes. His otherwise beautiful pelt is marred by mud and brush that have built up from little care. And several areas of his fur is matted by old scars from fights that happened long ago. Walking in a graceful trot, the rottweiler is not clumsy, and he feels a sort of dignity that he knows he must uphold.
Personality: The Doorman has always had the same personality, only little things change over time. He was always quiet, and reserved. But in his aloofness, he was always loyal to those who earned it. The same applied to his trust; trust only those who prove they can be trusted. The Doorman has also been very protective of things he knows must be protected: his human family, his brother, his street pack. He would always take it upon himself to protect his loved ones. And in this fact, he was very fierce. When trouble and danger arises, he throws himself into the fire, and has risked his life many times just to save those of others. He has also proven that he is a natural leader, having the right traits for others to trust him. But he never trusted himself, and almost never took a leadership position in any situation.
History: The Doorman was born in a litter of four to street dog, who was soon found by a nice man, who then set out to find suitable owners for all of the animals. Soon after, he and his brother, Mart, were adopted by a couple who had the space in their hearts for the two boys. They grew up well together. The Doorman gained his name when he sat guard at the doors every night during the humans' downtime. One day, he grew tired of living within walls and fences, so he decided to leave. His brother denying the offer, the Doorman flipped open the fence gate and escaped into the alleys of his city. He made it a point to visit his brother and human family, but he never stayed.
The rottweiler found a family in a little group of dogs that lived in the dirtier part of his home city. They roamed together, slept together, and fought for each other. They escaped the grips of the dog catchers, and kept each other safe. It was a good group, with different breeds. A small terrier, a golden retriever, a pit bull, and a rather large husky, among others. Even with their differences, they each took a role in each other's lives.
Soon, the group grew as dogs began being taken away by strange humans, and the Doorman was reunited with his brother. The group became large, and the Doorman and his old friends could not take it. So they split, and left the city. Somewhere in the countryside, the Doorman was separated from his street pack and his brother, leaving him no choice but travel on his own.
