As the sun began to ascend into the now purplish colored sky, soft padding could be heard along the road through town. The large, brutelike white fluffball of love wandered through the town. Stopping occasionally to look around, making a map of the town within his head. The Great Pyrenees, Zero, was just wandering around aimlessly. Long slender legs carrying him at a surprisingly quick trot for his size through the town. He had been wooing females since before his arrival, he couldn't find any single ladies so far though around here. Hmmm, must be all females were taken. He was one of those males that liked to flirt, but wanted to stick with the right female to raise a good, strong family, strong in the way of bonding, good in the way of being like him, protecting, helpful, and sweet. The unknown snowy white canid was a bit hungry, and so, going out into a field, spotting a small herd of deer with a fairly large buck, and what luck, he was downwind from the buck and behind him. Too easy. He thought. Before taking off full sprint, it was over before it started, in a surprise attack, the large white male knocked over the deer with his purely raw brute strength, maw closed around the bucks throat, suffocating it. He would eat some now and probably give it to someone else who needed it more than him.

Vegas was skinny. weak. and in the first time of her life, vegas couldn't do anything for herself, by herself. The young Aussie purred to herself, humming a slight tune in her mind. she was unhappy, with three sick children, and didn't know what the heck she was supposed to do. This young mom was only two years of age, and technically, the healthiest thing for a female to do was wait until she was of age- meaning two years and after, into her first season. Hopefully, this birthing wouldn't effect Vegas overall. She wasn't her usual, spunky sexy self. Then again, how could you be when you were with kids all day? Though, the sick girls, and Justin, he was helpful as much as a month and a half pup could be. Vegas saw spark in his eye, she saw him ready to go work. He was not like either of his parents, willing to work and please. He was sure to be a ladies man sooner or later, and Vegas would be proud of that. She was a proud mummy.
The strong, brisk wind touched his face, gently, yet reminding her of the cold, harsh season up ahead. Vegas was mentally scared, physically she knew she wouldn't be able to handle much, and then she needed to have so much, so many meals and warmth prepared for her pups- it was too stressful. Vegas was going to faint. Here and now, her feet began to get dizzy, and her mind was frazzled. Everything was spinning. The world. Justin. Her babies. They were all multiplying.. Vegas shook her head. She hesitated, held her breath as she staggered a few more steps. She had never imagined herself like this. Vegas was always the proud bitch, the lovely and seductive women whom everyone wanted. This was not her ideal dream.
Where had Justin gone? Him and the entire Mafia had disappeared. She felt something different for him, and her puppies as well. And now, Vegas was left with nothing. Screw this. Screw life. She suddenly brightened; and found herself in a field, the brush very distant and she saw the outlines of a herd or so of deer, a few young buck and she smiled smugly. Hopefully, she would be able to catch one of these for luck.

The sound of the occasional bone crunching could be heard, along with meat being torn and chewed. The large white male had come close to his fill. Then stopped, the smell of another dog - female, caught his attention, turning around to look behind him, he saw the skinny, weak looking aussie. Suddenly saddened by the look of her, he stepped away from his kill, he would allow her to eat what she needed. He simply lie down nearby, watching her silently. He wouldn't say a word unless she spoke to him, quite a gentleman. His caramel brown eyes were warm and friendly, showing how kind a soul he was. Tail thumping beside him, as he watched her, knowing she would need the meat more than he would. And he would not bother her as she ate, either.
But he needed to talk to someone, he couldn't stay silent forever. He knew he would need to talk eventually. So, quietly as not to startle her, he cleared his throat, trying to get her attention. If she looked at him he would offer a smile and a friendly "Hello." before a moment as he waited for her reply before he said, sweetly "I am just a wanderer, no need to worry about me, I'll find more food." He said, dipping his head in a slight nod.

Vegas coughed, as she limped along wearily. Suddenly, the scent of a male roughly hid itself in Vegas's nose, suddenly striking her as odd. She had not seen any real life around here, since it was getting colder and the intense winter was close. Vegas was a steady soul, and since her birth and her puppies, her weaknesses had varied and multiplied. then, just as Vegas had suspected, a freshly killed buck appeared before her path, blood stained his neck and legs; a large canine must have killed him. Vegas was a mere fifty pounds, she was barely able to take down a single young doe. Hardly. She knew the family dynamic would work much better, male makes and kills the meals while the females raise the children, that's how it would have been. Until something horrid happened, which Vegas had no clue what it was. Vegas stopped when she saw it before her, the claiming male scent still hanging around the creature, making Vegas weary of approaching this. She was weak, healthy, and her curves and feminine structure was still her old attractive way; she was a very easy target. She laid her ears back, waiting for the right moment. Her belly touch the ground, a hesitant ten feet away from the seemingly, trap.
She was very hostile, very steady and not shy. Her resentment to eat and devour the meal set before her was a very wicked temptation, but she was unknown, she she didn't know what lie ahead. Suddenly, Vegas was spooked by a slow movement, she must not have noticed before. A great white figure, a large male, young, maybe as young and little as Vegas; who was at her two and a half year marker, noticed his kind gesture and body language. She paused, then arranged herself to stand on all four paws, her once beautiful merle colored fur now a dusk color with dirt messing around in her coat, once silky was ragged and looked untamed. He said his greeting, and Vegas could only nod her head. A wanderer. She had never heard that term before, but she shrugged. it would do for now. All she needed was rest, hope and food. She lowered her head to get a better look at the stranger. He seemed honest for all Vegas knew, and she didn't know much. She guessed she could let him help her, it was worth her while. After all, she did have sick babies waiting for her at her 'den'. What else could be more entertaining?

Zero watched her, her body language appearing hostile, until he said his greeting to which she merely nodded. When she offered fr him to 'show what he's got' whatever that meant, he took a small guess and figured that was an 'OK you can help.' he nodded a small, barely visible nod and replied "Show me where you live, if you would? I'll bring this to your home." he said, another nod as he picked the deer up by the back of it's neck and waited for her to lead him to wherever it was she lived. If she lead the way, he would follow, making noise except the dragging of the deer on the ground, partially anyway. If she wanted to talk when she got there, he would oblige, it seemed she was anti-social, but probably not, he was only guessing. She did however, seem like she could use a friend. And he was more than happy to indulge that need. He was a friendly brute, only fighting when defending himself or whatever he deemed to be his. He would also take in the sites they passed, in case he decided to drop by if she needed help again.
