The world isn't what you think it is. Not anymore, not here. Here where people are the animals. Animals can take human form and humans can take animal form. But the world must always be in balance right? One would think so because so does the world. To counter the shapeshifters the chasers were created. A race of superhumans designed to fight and kill the shapeshifters to protect the humans. A war has secretly been raging for years, and the true humans know nothing but time is waring thin. Everyone is willing to kill to keep their secret and to just survive.
Now, knowing this, do you think that everything in the world is really what it appears to be. Take a look around. Is your neighbor really your neighbor, or is she a panther pretending to be human. How about the cop the pulled you over for speeding? Is he really a cop or a chaser born to help keep humanity in the darkness? The fact of the matter is you just don't know. Not anymore at least.
